I need to change. That’s the first thing I told myself when I decided to do CrossFit.
I grew up in New Zealand and never got into any exercise until I went to university. I did do some Personal Training, squats, push ups and skipping (double unders) were a regular part of my sessions.
When I moved to Melbourne that’s when I got into the partying scene. My weekend routine comprised of binge drinking, along with smoking and doing the usual kebab/maccas run after a night out. I loved it, looked forward to it and always came away with some great memories…when I could remember the night.
Although of course the days after we’re always spent hungover, sluggish and tired. The whole thing was taking a toll on me both physically, mentally and financially. After my 27th birthday, I decided that it is time to change my old habbits.
